Pangbourne

The Thameside village of Pangbourne, to the west of Reading, is particularly sought after, both for the abundance of amenities, including banks, supermarkets, post office and restaurants, and its accessibility to London via both the Pangbourne mainline rail link (45 minutes) and the M4 motorway (one hour).

The Wind in the Willows countryside

Yet within five minutes drive from Pangbourne you can find yourself walking alongside the river Thames, the Ridgeway and other areas of outstanding natural beauty.

The embankment in Pangbourne is believed to have been the source of inspiration for Kenneth Grahame's 'The Wind in the Willows'. Grahame died in Pangbourne on 6th July 1932.
