Our heritage

At the end of the Second World War, Patrick Williams established what was to become one of Reading's oldest and most respected Independent Estate Agents.

With strong family ties to West Reading, he was a keen and able student of Reading School, who went on to be employed in the world of estate agency, also training to become both an auctioneer and surveyor.

In 1945 he opened the offices of Patrick Williams & Partners on the Oxford Road and continued to live above the premises for the whole of his long career. His passionate advocacy of high professional standards for the business saw him qualify as a chartered surveyor - unique for estate agent practitioners of the era - and becoming a member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

The vision, beliefs and aspirations of Patrick Williams has defined the way the agency has conducted its business across the decades. From its very beginnings, he founded the company on the twin principles of honesty and integrity. Qualities that continue to define the way we work today.
